Say hello to the brand new Residency program at Hill City!

What’s residency? Great question! Residency is a year-long program designed for someone interested in a career in ministry. This role is perfect if you are a passionate, curious, ministry-oriented leader who is excited to be a part of a foundational year to strengthen your leadership, broaden your understanding of working for a church and have a ridiculous amount of fun doing it!

There will be a year of opportunites to grow in things you never thought you’d be a part of!

YOUR ROLE AS A RESIDENT

Being a resident will provide a unique experience to build your year around ministry! You’ll strengthen your skills in a variety of ministry areas, invest in leadership development and deepen your faith. This is a 20 hour per week paid internship and the perfect opportunity for someone post-grad, re-entering the work force, or switching careers!

A few more things…

  • You’ll be working across ministry areas and strengthening skills in your field of interest while getting a unique church experience of building at a ministry level alongside pastors and staff leaders

  • You’ll have a staff coach to help navigate your year to grow as a ministry leader

  • You'll be part of a cohort of other residents at churches across the country where you will work and learn together

  • Alongside your cohort, you’ll be a part of weekly online classes taught by ministry professionals

  • In the first month, you’ll attend a Residency Retreat with your cohort (road trip!)

  • Working on something that brings you joy & matters deeply

  • Residency is for anyone desiring to pursue a career in ministry. This is a great opportunity for someone who is a post-grad, re-entering the work force, or switching careers!

    *Accepting applicants high school graduate and up.

  • Yes! This will be a 20/hour per week paid role starting August 2026 to August 2027.

  • This will be a 20 hour per week role from August 10, 2026 to August 8, 2027.

    You will have weekly hours to be in the office as well as working Sunday morning services.

  • No, we do not provide housing for this Residency program.
