Thanks to hundreds of generous people, together we raised $296,158 and get to give every cent away.
Our annual Share Offering is a time where we model radical generosity. It started with the question: what if every year we did an offering that went above and beyond what we normally give?
Irrational generosity is one of our key values here at Hill City. And we believe that out of generosity, our hearts are angled more towards God. Every year, we ask each person to consider giving a days wage so we can give every cent of it away to organizations doing great work in our city.

We’ve officially purchased the building that we’ve called home for over 10 years! In the next few years, The Commons will be built as a community center for Richmond. It will house Hill City and so much more!

As Care Pastor of Hill City, it’s my job to field requests for assistance and walk alongside folks who are having a tough time. A hard part of that position is telling people “no”, sometimes being forced with tough choices (should we help this single mom with her ER bill or invest in a family of 4 living out of their car?), but because of your unprecedented and radical generosity this past year, our care ministry didn’t have to make those choices very often. We were able to love our neighbors with a Christ-like voracity that proclaimed “Heavenly Father...Your kingdom come, Your will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.”

Both you and Hill City benefit the most by transferring the stock(s) to Hill City instead of you selling the stock and then donating the proceeds. The tax benefits can be as much as 30% for a direct transfer to Hill City; as compared to selling it, paying capital gains taxes, and then donating the remaining proceeds to the church.
Our standard policy is to immediately sell the stock and record the proceeds in our database as a stock gift from you. Please let us know if there are any other considerations we should take into account or if you have any questions.

City has a Truist account for the purposes of stock gift transfers. The fastest and easiest way to make a stock gift is to have your broker perform an electronic transfer. He or she will need the following information:
